Selah, a three-year-old Palestinian girl, has just arrived in Malta to receive urgent medical care after surviving the merciless Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

It was an emotional scene at the airport today, with a sizeable crowd showing up to greet the little girl and her father, with some people holding flowers, balloons and flags of Palestine in anticipation.

Visibly moved by the gesture, Selah blew kisses to the people greeting her, even holding up her hands to form a heart at the warm welcome she had received.

Selah lost her mother and brother in the ongoing devastating military campaign, needing urgent surgery in Gaza. Thanks to social media, she was able to reunite with her father… and now, thanks to donations, the embassy, in coordination with the Maltese government, was able to organise her arrival and medical care.

“Selah is an icon, she is our hope, a witness,” Malta’s Palestinian Ambassador Fadi Hanania said, thanking everyone who helped out in making this possible but raising awareness of the tens of thousands of casualties back in Gaza.

Meanwhile, earlier today, the embassy also shipped off a container filled with humanitarian to Gaza.

If you wish to donate for the next container or to help bring more children for medical treatment contact the embassy at 2780-1200, or send donations via Revolut 99619998.
