Do you have a summer reading list? Is it filled with all your personal faves? Are there any new authors you’re looking forward to trying out? Have you got a copy of Eddie Fenech Adami’s ‘My Journey’? How about ‘Bejn Storja u Miti’?
Whichever of those you’d add to your list, you need look no further than this beautifully retro DIY advert.
Franco is leaving Malta and, alas, has to downsize his personal library. He is currently listing all of his books on Maltapark (you can check the full ad out here). Franco decided to do something different with his approach to the ad, because he was bored with all the usual book listings.
He was inspired by a viral advert for a used Honda Accord. The advert spread like fire across the internet in 2017 and even won the creators a Weebly and a Telly award.
Franco is sad to see some of his collection go. He’s finding it especially hard to let go of his copy of ‘The Decisive Moment’ by Henri Cartier Bresson.
He roped in two of his friends to help with the 80’s styled advert. Joe Paolella starred on camera and Matt Bonanno provided the voiceover. We think the advert is utterly brilliant. And it must be working – because a lot of the books have already been snapped up.
He’s got something for everyone in his catalogue, from self-help and business books to graphic novels and Melitensia. Be sure to browse if you miss the smell of hardbacks!
