WATCH: Two Maltese Ryanair Pilots Celebrate Wedding The Only Way They Know How…With A Plane
Two Maltese Ryanair pilots celebrated their wedding the only way they know how…by having a plane that was personally built to fly over the church.
Held at Mġarr’s iconic church, a yellow Tiger plane personally designed and built by the Aviation Museum, flew above the church as he and his new-wife, Ruth, exited onto the parvis. And luckily for us, videographer Kurt Cauchi was there to film it so we could all check out how awesome of a sight it was!
The plane, built by the Aviaton Museum’s David Polidano, Malcolm and a group of friends, was the perfect way to celebrate a couple whose life has been intertwined with the sky.
Speaking to Lovin Malta, Malcolm’s good friend Warren, who also helped (or as he says ‘was present’) when the plane was constructed, explained how they met.
Malcolm and Ruth met five years ago when she turned out to be the instructor when he started training for his private pilot’s license.
While Malcolm had first struggled with the intensive course, he was able to power through and excel all through Ruth’s help and support.
The plane used in the wedding was the one they trained with. Unfortunately, it was severely damaged by a storm in Malta, but it was luckily restored to working order by Polidano.
