‘We Would Have Wished For So Much More Time Together’: Gżira Bar And Friends Mourn 27-Year-Old Artist As Fundraiser Launched
A 27-year-old creative man living in Malta is being mourned after his tragic passing earlier this week, with the community and his team at a popular Gżira bar coming together to raise funds which would help his family.
“We would have wished for so much more time together, but now your wonderful heart has stopped beating,” @jungle.joy.malta wrote on social media yesterday, paying tribute to the young man, Fabian Camilo Garcia Borbon. “It’s hard to find the right words when a friend leaves us so early. Still, we want to say thank you for everything you were to us and everything you gave us. You were a wonderful person and friend.”

Camillo, as he was known to his colleagues and friends, passed away last Sunday, with a final farewell being planned for next Wednesday morning at St. Julian’s Balluta Church. Until then, the community has come together to help ease the financial strain on his family.
“The family is not only in shock but it also creates a significant financial burden,” Jungle Joy’s statement continued. “We have created a GoFund.me link and also Revolut is possible. After the funeral, we invite everyone to come together to talk about Camillo, share experiences and have some food or drink. We will donate all the profit, that day to the family and try to contribute something to the memorial service.”
More information on how to donate can be found on Jungle Joy’s Instagram account, along with the dedicated GoFundMe page set up in the young man’s honour.
Rest In Peace.
