‘We’ve Lost A Friend’: Mosta Remembers Dennis Falzon, Former Footballer Found Dead In Comino
The Mosta community has had an outpouring of grief following the identification of Dennis Falzon’s body, who died near Comino last Sunday.
Falzon, who was 67 years old and known as ‘tal-Frixa’, was loved within the community for his time as a football player for Mosta FC, as well as being a supporter of everything Mosta-related.
“In the name of the committee of Mosta FC, and the Mosta community, we wish to give our condolences to the Falzon family for the loss of Dennis Falzon,” Mosta FC said in a public post.” Dennis was a former player with Mosta FC in past years and was always active in the Mosta community. Rest in peace Dennis.”
Friends and family members opened up about their memories of Dennis
Dennis Falzon’s body was found by two brothers who were fishing between Santa Marija Bay and San Niklaw Bay in Comino
Police were informed that Dennis was missing at around 11am on Saturday, around the time a report was made that a body had been seen in the sea near Comino. The AFM searched for the body, and after pausing for the night, Dennis’ body was found at around 10am Sunday morning and taken to Gozo.
