To celebrate her 50th birthday, Norma Camilleri didn’t throw a party, she took on a 50km challenge across every village in Gozo, all in support of OASI Foundation.

The two-day event, fittingly titled “Worth the Walk”, wrapped up earlier today after Norma successfully completed her mission to raise awareness and funds for people struggling with addiction.

Kicking off from Żewwieqa Bay in Mġarr early Saturday morning, Norma, together with friends who joined her along the way, walked approximately 29km.

On Sunday, she resumed the journey at 7.30am and crossed the finish line at OASI Foundation in Wied Sara, Victoria.

The walk was not just a personal milestone but a call to action to support the OASI Foundation’s vital work.

The Gozo-based NGO offers free professional help to those facing addiction on both an outpatient and residential basis. It also promotes healthy lifestyles through educational programmes and community outreach.

Norma encouraged donations to support the cause, highlighting the reality of addiction in Malta and the importance of keeping OASI’s services available to all who need them.
