Argentinian football legend and 1986 World Cup winner Diego Armando Maradona has passed away, media in his home country like the Clarin are reporting.

Initial reports are saying Maradona, 60, died at his home in Tigre after suffering a heart attack.

Earlier this month, the football legend successfully underwent surgery for a brain blood clot, eventually leaving the hospital a mere 13 days ago.
