Watch: Princess Of Wales Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
The Princess of Wales has revealed that she is in the early stages of cancer treatment.
In a video statement, she said that she had undergone major abdominal surgery in London in January, saying that her cancer was not known of at the time.
“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” her statement said.
The princess went on to state that as this came as a major shock, the young family would like to process it in private.
The princess had not been seen in public since Christmas Day 2023 when she was seen walking to and attending a church service alongside the wider royal family, including her children and husband Prince William.
The news of her operation prompted an online frenzy, with social media users questioning the state of her health as well as her general whereabouts.
