Finnish Teen Who Scammed Thousands From Malta-Based Casino Avoids Jail With Suspended Sentence
The 16-year-old Finnish teen who scammed a Malta-based online casino due to an unknown glitch has been convicted in Häme District Court yesterday.
The teen received a 20 month suspended sentence. It was reported that he scammed the site out of a six-figure sum between April and May of last year.
He was also ordered by the court to repay the €132,000 he stole along with a €3,000 sum in gambling legal fees.
The father received a five month suspended sentence while the mother got a 60 days suspended sentence due to aggravated money laundering.
The mother was also ordered to repay the €2,300 and forfeit the motorcycle worth over €5,000 which was purchased with the stolen money.
