A major bus accident that happened overnight in Bulgaria has left at least 45 people reported dead.

Seven people were said to be saved from the tragedy, and the final number of casualties remains unclear.

The cause of the accident has still not yet been confirmed, but local reports say that the bus might have accidentally hit the pavement, resulting in a fire.

The accident occurred on the motorway next to the village of Bosnek in Bulgaria.

Investigations are currently being carried out.
