Roberta Metsola Welcomes Bill Gates To European Parliament For Global Health Talks
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola welcomed Bill Gates to Brussels on Tuesday evening for a high-level discussion on global health, inequality, and long-term challenges facing future generations.
Gates visited the European Parliament to discuss the ongoing efforts of the Gates Foundation and how Europe can strengthen its role in global health through partnerships and the use of artificial intelligence.
“Great to welcome Bill Gates to the European Parliament tonight, to talk about the incredible work of the Gates Foundation and how we can work closer together to save lives, fight inequalities and tackle intergenerational challenges,” Metsola wrote on social media.
“Grateful for his personal and his foundation’s commitment towards improving people’s lives across the globe,” she added.
Metsola also highlighted the foundation’s key role in advancing health outcomes and said stronger partnerships with initiatives like the Gates Foundation can help Europe remain a leader in global health.
