Watch: Far-Right Polish MEP Ejected From European Parliament After Disrupting Holocaust Memorial

A far-right Polish MEP was removed from the European Parliament after interrupting a moment of silence for Holocaust victims by shouting about Gaza.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola started off the tribute by asking fellows MEPS, “to join me in observing one minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.”
Grzegorz Braun, chairman of the Confederation of the Polish Crown (KKP) party, disrupted the tribute by loudly stating:
“Let’s pray for the victims of the Jewish genocide in Gaza.” After a brief pause, he repeated, “Thank you, everybody, for praying for the victims of the Jewish genocide in Gaza.”

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola intervened after the minute of silence, saying”Mr Braun, you leave the chamber now.”
The room erupted in applause as Braun was escorted out by security.
Braun has a history of antisemitic actions, including using a fire extinguisher to put out a Hanukkah menorah in Polish Parliament in 2023, which led to his temporary expulsion.
The European Jewish Congress condemned his remarks, calling them “a vile display of antisemitism in the heart of European democracy.”
Polish MEPs from across the political spectrum also slammed Braun’s actions, calling them “disgusting” and “shameful.”
