WATCH: Is That You, Spiderman? Man Scales Four-Storey Building To Rescue Dangling Child

Awestruck onlookers in Paris cheered as a 22-year-old man scaled a four-storey building to rescue a dangling child.

Mamoudou Gassama, a Malian immigrant, was praised for his incredible act of bravery by Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo. Seeing a child hanging on to the railings for dear life, Gassama hauled himself from balcony to balcony until he could carefully pull the child back to safety.

French minister Christophe Castaner also took to Twitter to commend the admirable work of Gassama, who stepped forward to save a life without giving any thought for his own.

After meeting with French president Emmanuel Macron, Gassama has been told he will become a naturalised French citizen.
