Nationalist Party leader candidate Alex Borg has called for Prime Minister Robert Abela to retire two government bills that have been presented to parliament regarding development in Malta.

“After the retirement of these bills, a wide process of public consultation should take place so that the reform introduced is in favour of the people,” wrote Borg on social media.

His statement comes amid a conversation that Abela had with Moviment Graffitti’s Andre Callus outside of parliament yesterday afternoon.

“Our country needs a Prime Minister that listens to people and does not attack those who do not agreed with him,” Borg wrote. “Robert Abela tried to roll over everyone and found people who have the national interest at heart to oppose him.”

Borg went on to thank his colleagues at the PN, civil society, professionals and people with good in their hearts that helped in moving Abela towards different decisions.
