Gap Between Labour And PN Narrows To 5% In Latest Poll Results

Labour holds a 5% lead over the Nationalist Party, according to a new Times of Malta survey but the gap between the two major parties has narrowed since February.
The poll, conducted by research firm Esprimi, suggests that if an election were held tomorrow, Labour would win by around 15,000 votes. That marks a drop from the 6.5% lead (18,700 votes) predicted earlier this year.
Labour’s vote share now stands at 50.1%, down from 51.5% in February and well below the 55.1% it secured in the 2022 general election.
Meanwhile, the PN is projected to receive 45.1% slightly up from February and higher than its 2022 result of 41.7%.
Third parties like ADPD and Momentum are seeing some gains, expected to take 4.8% of the vote combined.
The poll also found:
-Robert Abela’s trust rating rose slightly to 50.1%, while new PN leader Alex Borg scored 48.7%.
-Respondents gave the government an average performance score of 3.14 out of 5, up from 2.98 in February.
-Borg is most popular among young voters and university-educated respondents, while Abela continues to find stronger support among pensioners and self-employed workers.
What do you think, is the gap between the two parties really starting to close?
