Graham Bencini Addresses Journalists Following PN Executive Meeting To Appoint New Party Leader
Graham Bencini addressed journalists outside the Nationalist Party headquarters following an Executive Committee meeting to appoint a new party leader following Bernard Grech’s resignation on Tuesday afternoon.
“Another lie by One News. I have just presided over the Executive Committee meeting and I can confirm that Adrian Delia could not attend as he is recovering from an operation, Karol Aquilina did not attend, and Jason Azzopardi is no longer an executive committee member and therefore did not attend the meeting,” Bencini said.

Bencini went on to say that “contrary to the lies by One News, the meeting was cordial, during which Bernard Grech received a standing ovation, with a motion to thank him which was approved unanimously.”
These comments to the journalists were delivered as Bencini held his phone to the media representatives, showing an article by One News titled “Big quarrels during the executive meeting.”
