Ian Borg To Take Clayton Bartolo’s Place As Tourism Minister
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ian Borg will be taking Clayton Bartolo’s place as Tourism Minister after he was forced to resign due to what could be a second scandal.
Prime Minister Robert Abela told the media that Bartolo was kicked out of the Labour Party’s parliamentary group due to “different circumstances” to those that emerged from a standards commissioner report into a high-paying job that he gave his wife Amanda Muscat.
Bartolo will also continue to serve in parliament as an independent MP, according to Abela.
Abela did not explain what these “different circumstances” are that led to Bartolo’s forced resignation. However, Times of Malta said it will be revealing them later today.
Abela further confirmed that Muscat will have to pay back the difference of her salary discrepancy.
Do you think Ian Borg is the right choice?
