‘It’s Free Qammiel!’: James Ryder Announces First ‘Mass Meeting Rave’ Featuring Stacked Line-Up
Newly-announced MEP candidate James Ryder (who’s popularly known as a stand-up comedian and TikToker) has unveiled the details of his first mass meeting… and it looks like it’s also going to be a rave.
“Ready to join the circus? You better be,” Ryder said moments ago, announcing the aptly-named Political Party (see what he did there?) at St. Julian’s Tigullio clubbing complex on 31st May.
And it looks set to focus quite a lot on the “party” part, with the night featuring DJ Mykill as a warm-up act, popular rappers Lapes and Owen Leuellen who will definitely be spitting some incendiary bars, fellow (controversy-loving) stand-up comedia Dan Xuereb as host, and viral satirical kings Radju Ħaj as the closing act.
“And when the clock strikes midnight, James Ryder steps onto the stage with a speech that’ll leave you both inspired and in stitches,” the announcement explained. “Don’t miss out—it’s politics, but with a hilarious twist!”
Like every good mass meeting, the event is entirely free – which the announcement video makes it a point to remind all the “cheapskates” out there!

Last week, during his first interview as MEP candidate, Ryder told Lovin Malta he’s planning on organising two mass meetings during his run until the June elections.
“I am already operating on a level of support that I wasn’t expecting to get on Day One,” he admitted. “I was expecting that this level of support would only come midway through the election campaign and that I would have to work much harder for it. However, from the get-go, there is already a large crowd ready to support my movement.”
The MEP candidate said he will also tour as many sixth forms as possible to reach out to youths.
Ryder’s campaign is expected to target disillusioned voters who weren’t planning to vote at all in June.
“This is a serious campaign, although I’m not going to take it seriously,” he quipped. “If you don’t feel represented, if you don’t know who to vote for, if you haven’t voted for years and if you feel that your best option right now is to throw away your vote, you can use this campaign as an opportunity to send a much stronger message through your vote,” he said.
