Labour Party Urges Supporters Not To Rally At Mile End, Or Anywhere Else, Tonight
The Labour Party has urged its supporters not to give a show of force at its headquarters or anywhere else tonight.
“There has been no official communication from the Prime Minister and PL leader Joseph Muscat,” the PL said in a statement. “We insist that no one should gather in front of the Labour Party’s headquarters (or anywhere else) as is being requested through messages on social media.”
“The Prime Minister has already declared that he is focused on what is important for the country and on ensuring that one of the most serious cases that ever took place in Malta gets solved under his watch.”
Messages on social media had urged Labour supporters to gather in front of Mile End tonight and to proceed to walk to Castille, where a protest is being organised. An activist had reported one of these message to police, who have been briefed to protect protestors at tonight’s protest.
