Nationalist Media Publishes 'Proof' Of Minister's Brothel Visit
Undercover footage shows women saying they think they identified Minister
Nationalist Party media this evening published footage from inside a German sauna where two women seem to recognise Economy Minister Chris Cardona and his consultant Joe Gerada inside the FKK Acapulco club. Both men have adamantly denied being there.
Net News sent journalist Mario Frendo to the club to find out more information about the incident which allegedly occurred while Cardona was on an official government visit. The story was broken by Daphne Caruana Galizia, who has been threatened with a libel suit from Cardona who claims this was a complete lie.
The footage shows two "prostitutes" indicating that they recognised the pictures of the two men shown to them by Frendo.
Not everyone was impressed by the Net News footage. Saviour Balzan, editor of MaltaToday, dismissed the report on Twitter.
Yes, maybe, mmmm or no the answer of two Russian prostitutes in a very serious investigative @netnewsmalta report when shown two photographs— Saviour Balzan (@saviourbalzan) February 3, 2017
Minister Cardona also reacted on Twitter, saying the PN report was "utter rubbish".
Meanwhile, the Economy Minister has not replied to these questions sent by Lovin Malta on Wednesday about the alleged incident:
1) Where was Minister Chris Cardona between the times of 7.30pm to 10pm on Monday night?
2) If he was not at the FKK Acapulco club, can the minister prove that he was elsewhere?
3) Does Minister Cardona have a tattoo of Che Guevara? (As reported by Daphne Caruana Galizia's source.)
4) Is it true that the minister returned to the club in the afternoon of Tuesday 30th? If so, what was the nature of this visit?
