Nationalist Party Issues Public Call For Reformers Eager To Contribute To PN Revamp
The Nationalist Party has issued a public call of applications urging people who want to contribute to the party’s promised reform to come forward.
The application is open to both party members and non-members alike, and must commit at least five hours per week on a voluntary basis.
“Many, young and old, women and men, feel strongly about the national interests and the interests of young and future generations and the common good. These interests need to be sustained and nourished by a reformed PN relevant to society’s current and future realities,” Nationalist Party think-tank AZAD said in a statement.
The announcement comes a day after Adrian Delia fought off a fierce internal battle by winning a general council confidence vote by a two-thirds majority.
The initiative forms part of the reform guided by a a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of PN stalwart Louis Galea, who now serves as president of AZAD.
“The process seeks to foster unity in the Party and to bring about a root and branch reform of the Party and its politics,” Galea said in a statement.
The multi-disciplinary team will be composed of individuals with different skills and abilities, carting for the needs of a multi-disciplinary team.
“An ability to foster dialogue and discussion with impartiality and objectivity, and belief in teamwork and collective responsibility are essential ingredients for the success of the process,” Galea explained.
People who want to promote a particular issue of public interest may also consider the PN’s invitation.
