The arrest of a major Maltese businessmen in connection to the car bomb assassination of a Daphne Caruana Galizia has outraged the country as well as begun to bring some closure to a two-year saga that has rocked the nation.

Everyone from politicians, journalists, activists, and citizens, shared how they felt on the day of Yorgen Fenech’s arrest.

Some saw this as the much-awaited day for Maltese justice and called for interrogations and the arrests of anyone else implicated in the murder.

Many turned the focus onto Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, with one leading criminal lawyer saying “his back was against the wall now”.

Some Labour officials also shared the news that Yorgen Fenech had been arrested.

But amid the outrage, there was a small sliver of relief that finally, the killers might actually be caught and brought to justice.
