PN Leadership Vote Scheduled For 6th September
Alex Borg and Adrian Delia have met all the verification requirements to run for the position of PN leader, according to a report by MaltaToday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the PN Electoral Commission confirmed it had received the audit report from the party’s candidates commission. With the six-week due diligence process now complete, the commission will be accepting official nominations from Borg and Delia between Thursday 14th August and Tuesday 19th August.
The leadership election is scheduled for Saturday 6th September, and will be open only to PN members with a valid membership card during a specially convened general convention. Early voting will be available on Wednesday 27th August and Saturday, 30th August.
As outlined in the party’s election guidelines issued in July, candidates are prohibited from giving interviews to non-party media outlets now that the due diligence stage has concluded.
