Nationalist MP Ivan J Bartolo has announced that he will not be contesting the next general election.

Bartolo, a businessman who has served in Parliament since 2017, said his decision was driven solely by evolving family commitments which now require him to travel overseas to spend more time with his children and grandchildren.

Bartolo described his tenure as a period of both triumphs and challenges and an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

He said he will continue contributing to the PN’s efforts in the current legislature, including by helping design a “bold and exciting” economic reform agenda.
