PN Secretary General Rips Into MP Marlene Farrugia For Dancing To ‘F’Għoxx Il-PN’ At Żebbug Feast

“We gave you your seat…now you’re dancing and chanting to the rhythm of hatred against us!”
PN secretary general Clyde Puli has blasted Partit Demokratiku MP Marlene Farrugia after footage emerged of her dancing on two people’s shoulders as people chanted ‘f’għoxx il-PN’ at the Ħaż-Żebbug village feast last weekend.
“We gave you a platform, media presence and two parliamentary seats and you still had the cheek to try and become our leader,” Puli said. “When we needed to cede one of our seats so that Adrian Delia could enter Parliament, you wanted this seat to be taken up by one of your candidates. Now you are dancing and chanting to the rhythm of hatred against us.”
“We were expected to improve the PN’s position in recent months when we had her dragging us down and other damage inflicted on us.”
The Nationalist Party and the Partit Demokratiku had entered into a pre-election coalition in 2017, a move which helped the PD elect Marlene Farrugia and her partner Godfrey Farrugia to Parliament.
However, relations between the two parties soured when Adrian Delia was elected PN leader, with the PD repeatedly calling on him to resign his post.
Both PN and PD performed poorly at last month’s MEP election, with the PN losing out to PL by a record 42,000 votes and the PD only winning 0.7% of the vote.
