European Parliament President Roberta Metsola also weighed in on the protest, acknowledging and agreeing with the grounds for the demonstration.

“Stop defending criminals. Start acting like a Prime Minister,” the EP President directed her message toward Prime Minister Robert Abela.
Abela has faced heavy criticism for the rhetoric he used during Monday’s press conference with journalists, where he also accused some of working for the so-called “establishment.”
