‘She Was Right’: Eve Borg Bonello Attaches Photo Of Daphne Caruana Galizia To Laptop During Parliament Sitting
Nationalist MP Eve Borg Bonello stuck a photo of Daphne Caruana Galizia to the back of her laptop with the words “kellha raġun“… “she was right” during a Parliamentary sitting today.
Borg Bonello is presumably referring to the Vitals inquiry that was concluded last week and named a slew of high-profile Maltese in a list of money laundering suspects including former prime minister Joseph Muscat, former OPM chief of staff Keith Schembri, and former minister Konrad Mizzi.
Daphne reported extensively on the fraudulent deal since it was still in the pipeline. Years later, the concession was annulled, a magisterial inquiry was concluded, and former ministers are allegedly being charged.
Repubblika’s lawyer Jason Azzopardi said that Central Bank Governor and former Finance Minister Edward Scicluna is facing charges in connection with the Vitals inquiry.
In an earlier post, he said that Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi, and Keith Schembri are among the people facing charges.
What do you make of this gesture?
