‘The Truth Is More Shocking Than We Ever Imagined’: David Casa On Joseph Muscat Being Charged
Malta’s longest-standing MEP David Casa has reacted to the news that ex-prime minister Joseph Muscat will be charged with corruption, bribery, and money laundering.
“The whole truth is coming out about Joseph Muscat’s corrupt roadmap,” he wrote on social media.
“No wonder they are terrified. No wonder the attacks. The truth is more shocking than we ever imagined. MAFIA.”
Muscat is being charged alongside his ex-chief-of-staff Keith Schembri, ex-minister Konrad Mizzi, and 19 other individuals and companies in relation to the fraudulent deal of Vitals Healthcare to privatise three hospitals.
Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne, Central Bank Governer and former minister Edward Scicluna, as well as several other former government permanent secretaries, lawyers, advisors and chairmen of different boards will face lesser charges.
Fearne previously said that he would step down if he was named in the Vitals inquiry.
