Watch: ‘A Budget With A Difference’ – Robert Abela Says Malta’s ‘Largest-Ever’ Tax Cuts Will Be Announced Tomorrow
With just over 24 hours to go until tomorrow’s budget speech, Prime Minister Robert Abela has said Malta’s “largest ever” tax cuts are set to be announced.
Speaking at the end of Partit Laburista’s “Ejja u Għid Tiegħek” political event, Abela said a large widening of the country’s tax bands will be announced, creating the largest-ever income tax reduction Malta has ever seen.

Calling Malta’s current economic trajectory a “marvel”, Abela event went on to say “the world unemployment no longer exists in our vocabulary”, celebrating the country’s economic growth rates of 4% to 5% and contrasting them with a number of other European economies’ slumps.
