Watch: Bernard Grech Calls For Government Accountability In Jean Paul Sofia’s Death Following Public Inquiry Report
Opposition Leader Bernard Grech called for the government to take responsibility for the tragedy of Jean Paul Sofia following the publication of the public inquiry report.
“We have confirmation why Robert Abela did not want a public inquiry” Grech started off his statement.

In his message, Grech focused on the significant points emerging from the 484-page report and also criticised the Prime Minister of ridiculing Isabelle Bonnici and attempting to obstruct her quest for justice on behalf of her son.
Grech also added how the public inquiry confirmed the need for a separate inquiry from the magisterial inquiry, where the Board said that the public inquiry was complementary and from which facts emerged that could never emerge from a magisterial inquiry.
The PN leader reiterated that in addition to bearing the responsibility, all the recommendations that came out of the magisterial inquiry must be implemented immediately.
If the Government does not do this, the Nationalist Party will be taking all measures to make this happen immediately.
