Watch: Bernard Grech Calls On Prime Minister To Accept Byron Camilleri’s Resignation

Opposition Leader Bernard Grech called for Prime Minister Robert Abela to accept Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri’s resignation, following the minister’s statement over the stolen drug container scandal.
Speaking just before an interview this morning, including with Lovin Malta’s Ana Tortell, Grech expressed serious concerns about the lack of transparency in Camilleri’s statement.
He pointed out that critical details, such as the type of drug stolen and the exact quantity, were conspicuously missing, leaving the public in the dark.

“It is worrying when the minister responsible for our safety omits such crucial information. How are we supposed to trust that things are being done as they should?” Grech questioned.
This latest controversy is yet another in a series of scandals involving Byron Camilleri, according to Grech.
He criticised the minister’s repeated failures and insisted that Camilleri is not fulfilling his duty to the public and the Prime Minister must accept the resignation.
Do you think the Prime Minister should accept Byron Camilleri’s resignation?
