The latest mobilisation in Valletta by the Nationalist Party saw the Opposition protest Malta’s ongoing benefit fraud racket, with a large congregation of people gathering just outside Parliament yesterday evening.

“Our country is calling on us again,” Bernard Grech said following the protest. “We need to answer that call. It’s time again to fight for democracy.”

“Some may get completely disheartened and give up when they see Labour falsifying signatures to falsify elections,” Grech continued. “We are not the same though. We are not like Labour.

“The Nationalist Party is different. We are determined to restore our country to a democratic one. A country where the vote is neither bought nor falsified.”

Meanwhile, Grech also mentioned the ongoing case of 20-year-old JeanPaul Sofia, who last year was killed in a construction industry in Kordin, saying it was only the will of the people and the push from PN which finally convinced Robert Abela’s government to agree to the opening of a public inquiry.
