Former prime minister Joseph Muscat was flooded with t-shirts, flags and photos to sign while walking into a political rally of PL MEP Alex Agius Saliba.

Footage posted by Agius Saliba shows Muscat walking into the Orpheum Theatre in Gżira to a sea of older fans who were clapping, hugging, and asking for signatures on various materials, including images of himself.

The rally took place last night, two weeks ahead of the European Parliament elections.

Muscat has found himself in the political spotlight as he faces money laundering, corruption, and bribery charges for his role in the Vitals Healthcare scandal.
