Watch: ‘We Need To Work Harder’ – Alex Borg Reacts To Latest Political Survey Results
Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg has said that while the latest MaltaToday survey shows positive signs for the PN, he is “not happy” with the results, insisting that the party must work harder to become a government the public can trust to lead.
The survey found that the Labour Party currently stands at 48.7%, while the PN trails closely at 46.1%, leaving no party with an absolute majority. Prime Minister Robert Abela retains a 45.2% trust rating, compared to Borg’s 35.3%.

“While the survey is a positive one, I am not happy with the results,” Borg said. “We made inroads, but we will not win. We need to work harder so that we can provide an alternative government, as the people deserve a better future.”
Speaking during a Q&A session with youth members of the AŻAD Future Leaders programme, Borg said the results show that the public wants “an alternative government with one clear direction”.
“The people are seeing the PN ready to provide that alternative, while the current government is trying to follow a thousand directions. People want peace of mind that their future government will have a clear plan for where it wants to go,” he added.
