17-year-old Maltese kickboxer Victor Galea has successfully defended his European Amateur K-1 title, in a high-stakes match held in the UK this past weekend.

Galea’s opponent was Jalal Hijazi, a respected fighter from the UK. Despite the intensity of the bout, Galea demonstrated focus, discipline, and technical mastery, solidifying his status in the European circuit.

The 17-year-old’s defence of the title, which he had previously won, underlines his growing reputation as one of Malta’s most promising young martial artists. His performance reflects not only his physical preparation but also his mental commitment to the sport.

Galea, who trains at Team Noel Fight fitness, was supported throughout his training and fight by a strong team, including his father Redent Galea, coach Ryan Cachia and cutman Joesam Azzopardi, as well as Mariana Azzopardi.

His latest victory comes on the heels of earlier successes: at just 16, Galea claimed the ISKA Amateur Junior European Title in the under 50 kg division.

Congratulations Victor!
