Teenagers Sean Gatt and Jake Micallef, some of Malta’s most talented football prospects, are set to join Portuguese club Boavista.

Sportdesk reports that Gatt, 17, has agreed to a move from Luxol to the Portuguese Primeira Liga club, which also counted Andre Schembri as a player during the 2016/2017 season.

Meanwhile, Micallef, 18, will be joining the club from San Gwann.

They are the second and third U-19 national team players to secure a move abroad after Lucas Caruana joined Serie A side Sampdoria.

They have been attracting the interest of foreign clubs over the past for few years and their move to Boavista, which has a good track record in developing young talent, could be the first step to major success.

What do you think about the moves?
