AC Milan Legend Franco Baresi And Malta’s Prime Minister Inaugurate Newly Re-Turfed San Ġwann Football Pitch
Joseph Muscat scored a pic with one of AC Milan’s icons, Franco Baresi, as they both attended the inauguration of a recently re-turfed football pitch in San Ġwann.
Parliamentary secretary for sport in Malta, Clifton Grima, was on scene as well.
The football club recently benefited from a €100,000 grant through the government scheme, the Football Facilities Fund.
Muscat confirmed that discussions are currently ongoing with the Malta Football Association surrounding an investment programme to improve Malta’s football infrastructure, including the re-turfing of every single football pitch.
