Malta’s first-ever female double team has made it through the final round of the qualifications for the Hyrox World Championships.

This means that Raissa Camilleri and Emma Grech successfully made it through three qualifying rounds, and will soon be representing Malta in the final stages.

The first qualifying race was held in Manchester, while the second one was held in Vienna, with the Maltese team also placing 2nd overall and in age group.

Meanwhile, the final race was held in Manchester, where they also placed 3rd overall and 2nd in age group.

The World Championship will be happening later on in May in Manchester, UK, following the three international races.

“With over 90,000 Hyrox athletes around the world racing in our 22/23 Season & only 2,000 athletes qualifying for the ultimate Hyrox showdown,” Hydrox says.

Hyrox is known as a global fitness race. Participants from all around the world compete in the exact same format.

The race starts with a 1km run, followed by one functional movement, which repeats eight times, taking place in large indoor venues, creating a unique stadium-like atmosphere for all participants.

Well done Raissa and Emma, and good luck!
