From First Kicks To Future Stars: Inside Mosta FC’s Youth Academy
For over 15 years, GasanMamo Insurance has supported Mosta FC Youth Academy, ensuring that generations of young players have the facilities, structure and opportunity to grow.
Since 2009, this partnership has provided a foundation for the club to expand its academy and nurture both beginners and future stars. For many, it’s the first step into the world of football and often the start of lessons that last far beyond the pitch.
Back in 2009, the club’s nursery counted only a modest number of beginners. Today, the academy has grown into one of the most active in Malta, with teams across all age groups and more than five thousand followers engaging with its community online. For the children who join, football is not only about matches and goals. It teaches discipline, teamwork and resilience. Values that stick with them for life, whether they become professional players or take another path.
Players who made their mark
Not every academy player will go on to compete professionally, but some do, and their journeys show what is possible when children are given the right foundation.

When young people are given the opportunity, miracles do happen: some shine in the Premier League and some even catch the attention of international scouts.
“We’re proud of this long journey with Mosta FC Youth Academy,” said Mark Mamo, Director GasanMamo Insurance. “For us, it’s about helping young people grow in the field, and in the way they face challenges in life.”
The club shares this sense of pride.
“GasanMamo’s support has supported our aim to grow from a nursery into a strong academy that gives hundreds of children the chance to play and dream,” said Charlene Farrugia, Mosta FC Chair.
As another season begins, the goal remains the same: helping children take their first steps in football and guiding those with talent towards bigger stages. With GasanMamo Insurance’s ongoing support, Mosta FC Youth Academy can continue to open doors for young players and make sure football keeps changing lives, one beginner at a time.
