Greece Secures Draw Against Malta In Dying Minutes Of Friendly Match
Malta almost won yesterday’s friendly match against Greece, until the foreign team scored the equaliser in the 86th minute with the match ending in a 2-2 draw.
The first goal of the match was scored by Anastasios Bakasetas in the 39th minute, with Malta scoring its first goal shortly after the commencement of the second half.
Malta’s first goal was scored by Jurgen Degabriele in the 54th minute, with Teddy Teuma scoring the second goal in the 67th minute through a penalty.
Malta was in the lead and it almost seemed as if it was going to secure the win until the Greek team came in with a last-minute goal by Taxiarchis Fountas.
This comes as Malta’s team has just had a new Under 21 national coach come in to fill Devis Mangia’s shoes, Gilbert Agius.
Mangia resigned from his position amidst accusations of sexual misconduct involving other players of Malta’s national team.
