Voting Time: Malta Premier League Reveals Finalists For New Logo Rebrand And Asks Fans To Choose One
Just over a month since the Malta Premier League Limited called for submissions of designs for a new logo (and trophy), we now have four finalists… and one of these will end up representing the islands’ top tier football.
“Following a call for submissions the below four designs were shortlisted,” the now-also-slightly-renamed Malta Premier has announced. “We want the fans of the local game to have their say in picking the winning design!”
When the nation’s top football league announced its public call for a totally new brand identity, the MPL’s chairman and former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat had said he wanted to integrate the Maltese falcon into the new logo. This, he said, would be done to have a “mascot-related logo, as in the case of the English Premier League’s Lion”.

Besides becoming the new symbol for Malta’s new top league, the chosen logo and brand identity will also be awarded €2,000. Meanwhile, there are also trophy design submissions, with the winning one being awarded €1,000.
Swipe for the four finalists… and while you’re at it, refresh your memory and check out what we had come up by using ChatGPT and a couple of prompts like football, falcons and Joseph Muscat.
