Malta’s Tennis Starlet Francesca Curmi Makes It To ITF Quarter Finals In Singles And Doubles
Malta’s 19-year-old tennis starlet Francesca Curmi has made it to the quarter-final round of the International Tennis Festival (ITF) in both singles and doubles.
Francesca is currently participating in the International Tennis Federation Women’s W15 tournament being held in Spain.
Francesca won yesterday’s 16-round match 6-2, 6-2 against Sweden’s Podrez, securing her spot in today’s quarter-final against top seed Cervino Ruiz.
The quarter-final singles match against the Spanish player is set to be held today at 11am.
Curmi is also in the quarter-final of the doubles draw with Serbian partner Djakoviv and will face off against Spain’s Lantigua De La Nuez and Parres Azcoitia.
This comes weeks after the tennis sensation made it to the final in the International tournament in Monastir, Tunisia.
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis.
