Taking part in her first CrossFit competition since COVID-19 lockdowns, Pamela Psaila stormed into a second-place spot at one massive CrossFit international held in the UK.

The event – Strength in Depth, London – was a ranked event and Psaila had to battle hard through a rigorous qualification process to make it to the final ten.

“It was an amazing weekend full of emotions,” Pamela wrote following the event.

“It felt good to be back on the competition floor as an individual after two years of lockdown problems. I pushed hard and felt like I was dying after each WOD (Workout of the Day).”

CrossFit WODs are notoriously grueling. So much so that there was one WOD that scared Pamela in particular which featured kilometres of assault-running, double-under skips with a rope, rowing and more running.

She started off a little rough on day one, ending the day in sixth place. But she was able to make up for it the following days, winning the last two workouts and ending the whole tournament in second overall.
