Maltese Defender Makes It On UEFA Nation’s League’s ‘Team Of The Week’ By Popular Football App
One Maltese football player made it on the UEFA Nation’s League Team of the Week, along with the likes of Miralem Pjanic (Bosnia) and Inter’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
Zach Muscat featured on the popular football app Sofascore’s list with an overall rating of 8.2, beside Nathan Collins (Ireland) and Kaan Ayhan (Turkey) in a defensive trident.
Muscat, a player in the Portuguese league, helped hurl his team, Casa Pia, into Portugal’s top-tier – the Primeira Liga. The very same league that features the likes of Porto and Sporting CP.
His form, however, has shown no signs of stoppage with consistent performances in the national team, and during the game against San Marino in particular, where he scored the winning goal.
During the game, Muscat also had one clearance, one interception, one shot blocked, and two successful tackles. And most importantly, nobody got past him for the entire duration of the game.
He also won all ground duels and aerial duels and hit a pass accuracy of 92%
Zach Muscat, take a bow!
