Maltese Real Madrid Fan Delighted After Spotting Isco Vibing In Front Of Valletta McDonald’s
When Real Madrid fan Miguel Axisa headed to Valletta on Wednesday to watch a film with his girlfriend, the fact that he might randomly bump into one of his footballing heroes en route to the cinema must have been the last thing on his mind.
Yet as he approached the McDonald’s outlet in Republic Street, Miguel had to do a double-take – standing there, cool as a cucumber, was none other than Isco Alarcón.
“He was just there in front of McDonald’s,” Miguel told Lovin Malta. “From what I remember, I think he and his family were listening to someone playing a guitar that had Spanish vibes.”
“At first he dismissed that he was Isco and said he was another person but then he laughed it out and agreed that I was seeing correctly from a short distance away.”
Miguel even got to take a photo with Isco, in what will prove to be one of Isco’s last photos as a Real Madrid player, with his contract expiring at the month.
“I have always admired and respected the efforts Isco used to pull out on the field for our team,” Miguel said.
Isco has been a Real Madrid player for the past nine years and was an unused sub as the Spanish side beat Liverpool at last month’s Champions League final.
He has also played for Spain – here’s him scoring for them against Morocco at the 2018 World Cup.
Now a free agent, he has been linked to a host of clubs – including Sevilla and Roma – but was his sojourn in Malta a mere holiday or a hint at his next move?
