Maltese Vegan Mother Goes Beast Mode As She Sweeps At International CrossFit Event
A Maltese vegan mother unleashed her inner beast mode at the International CrossFit Madrid Championships – walking away with €3,000 in prize money.
38-year-old Jessica Borg Ghigo participated in the Female Masters Rx 35 to 39 years category, placing first in the division.
Borg Ghigo absolutely swept at the event, managing to secure two event wins and came top five in all of the other challenges.
“It was super fun, plus a super well-organised event,” Borg Ghigo expressed. “I am still overwhelmed with my result placing first in Rx Female Masters 35+ division. It was a fun weekend, competing against great athletes, and meeting new people and I feel grateful for my team.”
The championships consisted of a three-day event, with a total of six workouts, and 20 women participating in the category.
Borg Ghigo will now be participating in the Arnold Fitness Games in Birmingham, as part of the Arnold Sports Festival.
