PN MP Robert Cutajar, a Manchester United supporter, put football rivalries aside to gift a present to Isaac, a young Liverpool fan whose story touched the hearts of many.

During a trip to the UK to watch a Manchester United game, Cutajar paid a visit to Liverpool to meet up with Isaac and gift him scarves on behalf of the Liverpool Supporters Clubs of Malta and Gozo.

“Being supporters of different clubs does not mean anything. Mutual respect has no frontiers. Thank you Isaac and family,” he said.

Isaac, who has a rare genetic condition called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, went viral on TikTok by singing Liverpool chants while strumming his toy guitar.

Liverpool FC then got in touch with his parents to invite Isaac to meet the team and watch a training session.

In a heartfelt video that the club published on Christmas Day, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk surprised Isaac at school and took him to the training centre, where he got to meet several players and manager Arne Slot.

Isaac also had the incredible experience of walking out onto Anfield as Virgil van Dijk’s mascot during Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

Well done Robert!
