Ronaldinho’s Maltese Lawyer ‘Categorically Denies’ Any Possibility Of Him Joining Birkirkara FC
The Maltese lawyer of Brazilian football superstar Ronaldinho has denied the rumours that he might be joining Birkirkara F.C. soon after the entire island got excited at that very prospect.
“On behalf of my client Mr. Ronaldo De Assis Moreira also known as Ronaldinho, we hereby categorically deny the allegations published in the local media of any possible signing between my client and Birkirkara FC,” Dr Jean Paul Sammut said in a public statement.
“Mr. Ronaldo De Assis Moreira’s agent was called by a Birkirkara Football Club official to express the interest of the club in having Ronaldinho joining the club for the coming season, however this request was rejected instantly,” he continued. “Therefore, all allegations of any negotiations or possible signing between my client and the club are completely false.”
Prior to this, Ronaldinho’s brother and former lawyer also refuted the claims
“The visit to Malta will be to present our wine, and also to play Footvolley,” Roberto Assis, his brother, reportedly said when asked about the possible signing.
