Teenage Maltese Golfer Declared Regional Best In Prestigious Scottish Open

One teenage Maltese golfer bagged a trophy after being declared regional best while competing at Monifieth Golf Links Course Scotland.
The trophy was brought home by 14-year-old Noah Gratil, who took the field alongside Laya Cristina, both of whom represented Malta on the day.
Competing against 109 up-and-coming under 16s, Noah bagged a credible three over par. He then followed with a seven over par the next day. Following that, the cut for the third day was established – and the regional trophies were awarded.
Noah was declared the winner of the Southern and Western European region.
Of the starting 109 players, only 80 made it to the third and final day. Laya was eliminated on the first day, but Noah indeed progressed to the final stage.
He returned with a score of six over par to finish the tournament with an aggregate score of sixteen over par – ending in 38th place overall.
This is the third trophy brought home from the prestigious Monifieth Golf Links Course Scotland, with the first in 2004 and the second, in 2018.
