19-Year-old tennis star Francesca Curmi has followed her first-ever pro tournament win with another crown in Tunisia.

Curmi beat Japan’s Ishii 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 in a tightly contested three-hour encounter. Curmi even had the chance to serve for the match at 5-4 in the third set but Ishii clawed herself back into contention.

Still, Curmi kept her cool, breaking back immediately and serving it out to win her second tournament in just as many weeks.

Competing at a pro- ITF held in Tunisia, Curmi beat the 1st seed Guerrero Alvarez on her way to the final.

Curmi also competed in the doubles with Zelnickova and they were ranked as the 2nd seeds, but lost in the quarter-finals to eventual winners Cho and Mariani.

Her stellar performances have seen her international ranking score soar to new heights in her journey to the top and marks a 10-match unbeaten streak in singles.
